This year I celebrated St Patrick's Day (or Paddy's Day as we Irish call it - not Patty's Day lol!) in a quieter fashion then other years.
Whereas in the past the norm was to spend the day in town with friends having the craic, drinking(!) and dancing, this year I had some family over for dinner.
I cooked all the veg - roasted carrots, parsnips, sweet potatato, onions & garlic, boiled broccoli, peas and baby patotoes. And mam cooked all the meat - beef and pork - and the roast potatoes.
Our house is small and we don't really have a proper dining room - we have a kitchen diner.
So the adults (mam, dad, nana & (uncle) Micheal) sat at the kitchen table:
And the kids (David, Amy & Katie) sat at the counter:
:-)
Micheal said he didn't like being called an adult.
And Katie said she didn't like being called a kid.
We then headed out to the Games Room where we had some drinks and played some pool:
All in all quite a sedate Paddy's day but very enjoyable none the less.
La feile Padraig sona dhaoibh!
(Happy St Patrick's day to you all!)
